The Hillsdale Christian Academy Preschool is where our youngest students discover, learn, and grow spiritually, physically, socially, and academically. HCA believes all children are a gift from God and a unique creation made in His image. Therefore, every child is an individual with his or her own rate of growth and maturity.

Spiritual Growth

Students receive Biblical instruction daily in class with singing, character trait emphasis and Biblical accounts from the Word of God.

Creative Play

Little learners learn best through play. Active learners create connections with others in order to share, negotiate and resolve conflicts. These skills are incorporated into the daily curriculum as students are encouraged to practice real life communication skills.

Qualified Teachers

Teachers at Hillsdale Christian Academy Preschool foster an atmosphere that is warm, loving, fun, and instructional. All teachers have fulfilled Florida Early Childhood training that meets or exceeds state requirements.

Core Curriculum

In our program, children learn through intentional instruction and independent learning that incorporates God’s love for them. Hillsdale Christian Academy aims to provide a loving and nurturing Christian environment that will foster a love for God and learning. Daily prayer and Bible lessons encourage each child’s spiritual growth. We encourage kids to be kids through indoor and outdoor play every day.

Core Subjects

Hillsdale Christian Academy Preschool teaches core subjects to prepare your child for success: Bible class, phonics, emergent reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, music, and art.

Preschool teachers create a predictable structure provided by daily and weekly schedules that enable children to know what to expect and understand what is expected of them. They create a classroom community that helps children think positively about school and learn from each other.

Students in preschool are taught solid phonetic foundations and develop their reading and writing skills. They continue to build a strong foundation for success with math, science, and social studies. Our students also develop their self-expression and creativity through art and music.

VPK

Voluntary Prekindergarten or VPK gives children a jump start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills. By developing these skills at an early age, children are more likely to be successful in school. With Hillsdale Christian Academy, our VPK classes offer high-quality programs that include high literacy standards, developmentally appropriate curricula, manageable class sizes, and qualified teachers.
