Resurrection Sunday at Hillsdale Christian Academy Tampa

Resurrection Sunday at Hillsdale Christian Academy Tampa

Resurrection Sunday is a very special time. It begins with Palm Sunday and culminates with a celebration of Christ’s victorious resurrections on Easter Sunday.  Remembering Jesus’ resurrection and his triumphant victory over death, sin, and the devil in very important to us at Hillsdale Christian Academy.   Here are the important details concerning the school schedule and other Holy Week events and opportunities.

No School Good Friday and Easter Monday

Hillsdale Christian Academy celebrates Resurrection Sunday in many ways. Students, teachers, and staff will have off of school on Good Friday and on Easter Monday. The long weekend encourages students and staff to spend time with family and spend time in worship.

Celebrate Christ’s Death, Burial and  Resurrection with Hillsdale Baptist Church

The entire Hillsdale Christian Academy family, and everyone in the Citrus Park / Tampa area are invited to gather with Hillsdale Baptist Church on Resurrection Sunday for a morning of joy and celebration. Our Sunrise Service begins at 7:30 am. Then at 8:30 am the Family Breakfast will be served. And at 10:00 am we will begin our Resurrection Musical and Drama. Our cantata service features lots of music and scriptural dialogue celebrating the life of Jesus and his death and resurrection. It’s a very vibrant, joyful service. All are welcome!

Easter Message in School

During the school week, teachers will spend some extra time communicating the message of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection with our students and what it means to each of us individually . Unlike the public schools, in our Tampa Christian School students learn that Easter is about more than the Easter bunny, colorful egg hunts, and candy. All of our students, even our youngest learners, understand why Jesus had to be born and why he had to die on the cross. It is not a message of sadness, but one of gladness and grace. Students learn that because of Christ’s loving sacrifice, all of us are made clean and forgiven and we have the promise of eternal life in heaven.

Being able to share this greatest and most important Christian message is perhaps the biggest blessing that our Christian school has to offer. Here at Hillsdale, our students are learning about God, his blessings, and his grace in our lives. Our students know that life here on earth is only temporary, and that our real, perfect home is with Jesus in heaven.

Happy Easter to everyone! Rejoice in our risen Savior and come celebrate with us!
