Extracurricular Activities at Hillsdale Christian School in Tampa

One way that schools provide more enrichment and experiential learning for students is by providing extracurricular activities. In addition to an excellent curriculum, Hillsdale Christian Academy also offers a variety of extracurricular programs for our students. Our Christian School in Tampa provides a chance for students to engage in music lessons, art study, competitions, and service projects.

Tampa Fine Arts Academy

At Hillsdale, we recognize the importance of music and fine arts. That is why we are delighted to offer our students the blessing of our fine arts academy. Our music academy studio provides the opportunity for learners to study piano, violin, and voice. Students receive lessons either during the school day or after school hours. Our Tampa fine arts academy provides fine arts training right here on our campus – a huge benefit to our students and families.

Speech Competition and Spelling Bee

Our school also participates in a speech and fine arts competition every year, as well as a spelling bee. We are pleased to be a Tampa music school with such a unique array of music lessons and other opportunities for our students to grow academically and artistically.

Music and Art Classes

Hillsdale students are also taught choir and art classes as a part of their everyday curriculum. A Christmas program and a Spring program are performed each year, and let students not only learn music and singing skills, but help them build confidence and presentation skills as they perform for their parents and families.

Community Service

Currently, our Christian school in Tampa does not facilitate athletics. Our campus does not house a gymnasium or sports fields. However, students receive plenty of opportunities to learn, serve, and grow outside of the classroom. Each year, students participate in service projects out in the community. At Christmastime, students share seasonal joy with residents at a nearby nursing home. They are not only practicing their music skills, but sharpening life skills of caring for and encouraging others.

At Hillsdale Christian Academy, there is so much to do! Whether it’s a classroom science experiment, rehearsing for a program, learning to play violin, visiting with an elderly neighbor, or practicing for a spelling bee, our students stay busy and have fun.
