The state of Florida recognizes the importance of education, even for the youngest child. As a way to support pre-school age children, Florida offers the state-funded VPK program: voluntary pre-kindergarten. The VPK program is open to any child who is four years old, and there is no cost for that child to attend any VPK program of choice.
