1. What is the history of Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool?

Hillsdale Christain Academy & Preschool was founded in 2005. With the state of the art facility and qualified staff, we are excited about the future of our school and its growth.

2. Where is the school located?

Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool is conveniently located at the Veteran's Expressway and Ehrlich Road in Hillsborough County. Visit our Contact Us page for a map and driving directions.

3. What is the dress code philosophy?

Students are required to wear our school uniform. Modesty is emphasized even at a very early age. Shirts carry an embroidered Hillsdale Logo and may be purchased through the school office. Uniform pants, knee length shorts, and /or skorts may be purchased locally. For safety reasons, tennis shoes and rubber soled dress shoes are the acceptable footwear. 4. What grades are offered?

Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool offers Christian education for K-2 through 5th Grade. Our goal is to provide excellence in education in a way that compliments your schedule.

5. What is the admissions policy and philosophy of Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool?

Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool is for families who are interested in their children receiving a Christian education. Complete enrollment materials are available from the school office. As you consider the opportunities at Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool, it is our desire that while a broad variety of programs exist, there are certain admission limitations:

a. Financial limitation. Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool must provide through its overall income and tuition a reasonable wage for its staff.

b. Academic limitation. There are children whose academic or behavioral needs cannot be met at Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool. The academic programs at Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool will be as thorough as possible, yet it may not suit every child.

c. Philosophical limitation. Christian education, by nature, represents a specific community of faith. The education at Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool is centered on the unchanging Word of God as the authority for faith and practice.

6. What are class sizes?

The average class size will be 17 or less students.

7. What are the teacher qualifications?

Teachers must meet the requirements of the association certification requirements of the American Association of Christian Schools through the American Association of Christian Schools International. In addition, all teachers will undergo interviews by the Administration and background checks. Hillsdale Christian Academy & Preschool teachers are hired based on their professional expertise and their ability to model a Christian lifestyle and teach Biblical principles integrated with the subject matter.

8. What textbooks and materials are being used in the Academy & Preschool?

The best available Christian and secular books are used. Hands-on learning reinforces textbook objectives.

9. What is the religious emphasis of the school?

Parental involvement is encouraged in a variety of activities, including field trips, career days, festivals, chapels, fellowships, and other ways.
